Volunteer Pledge
I promise to keep my volunteer hours in check, to keep
my spirit and my family first and, to make sure I ask for help when I start to
feel overwhelmed.
I vow to compare myself to no one, my time and
contributions are my own special gift and, to feel proud that only I can do what
I do.
I vow to compare no one to myself, to recognize
everyone gives to their best of their time and abilities and, to always remember
it is the pieces that make the whole.
I pledge to accept less than perfect, to always
remember I am a volunteer and, to feel the joy in making a difference!
Thanks to Lakota Ridge Service Unit #675 for
this!

patch. Please contact Christine Ross
ASAP at
rottnkudlow@yahoo.com for

you back again and bringing your friends! This single-day

Trainings -
Welcome to Kara Sanders, our new Training Liaision - WARNING!!! she's
tough... we are only at 67.2% for having our leaders trained. All
leaders and assistant leaders need to have Intro to the Organization,
Diversity and Age Level Training. You may do many of these on line but
it is actually quicker and more fun AND you learn more by attending a
"live session". We have and have had many trainings available in our
neighborhood so you can't use distance as an excuse. We have a
Diversity training scheduled in May at Hyde Park Community United
Methodist Church on Tuesday, May 13 from 6:30 -9:30 p.m. and here is
the link to other trainings:
FORMS - we have had requests for forms so here is the
high risk permission form and we will also put them on the website.
Girl Scout Recognition Dinner
- Tuesday, May 6 Go to
www.grgsc.org and click on 2008 Recognition Event in the right hand
column. Ask to be seated with the Eastern Hills Service Unit.
END OF THE YEAR MEETING &
COOKIE PRIZE PICK UP
Wednesday, May 7 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at my home. More details to
come... We'll have adult beverages, your cookie
prizes, your registration forms for next year, everything you need
to end the Girl Scout year right!!
OK, that's all for now!!! Please contact me with any questions.
